Meets: As needed · Low and flexible! We'll meet 3 times per quarter (plan, check-in, celebration & repeat cycle), and coordinate those times and deadlines for work, all together. If any members choose to do an independent study, we'd encourage attending their year-end presentation but not require it.
What it is
The Advocates P.A.P.E.R.S. Club (Providing A Platform for Expressive Restorative Speech) is dedicated to thoughtful opinion writing, social analysis, and educational outreach. The club creates space for student voices on topics such as (but not limited to) immigrant rights, gender and race studies, queer issues, anti-oppressive studies, linguistics, and ethics in STEM. We aim to promote informed, restorative dialogue through articles, community awareness segments, and guest speakers. We accept artwork, poetry, photography, and graphic design as well!
